The Queir issued a counter-argument to Sony’s claim that his new title, “The Origin of the Wild”, was a pixel-class copying suit for Horizon: Zero Dawn, and noted that Sony was concerned that the action game ” Slavery: The Odyssey Travel ” was too similar to the Ninja Theory.
In this most recent response to Sony’s legal action, Sony was accused of trying to use “old-fashioned” subjects, such as the red-haired female hero, the mechanical dinosaur, as “impermissible” for her own unique behaviour, and of his intention to monopolize the whole type of game. Citing in particular previous statements by Jan-Bart Van Beek, the chief artist of the Horizon series, the Querrilla studio was concerned that the concept was too similar to Slavery: The Odyssey Swim, published in 2013 by Ninja Theory (Dang Monks and Sun Wukong against mechanical beasts).

According to the legal documents disclosed by The Game Post, Sony was told to be ultra vires and cited games with elements similar to the Horizon, such as the Zelda Legend, The Screech of the Island. The announcement indicated that Sony was trying to claim that the horizon concept was original rather than based on “general types of elements”.
“Soney’s project by prosecuting unpublished and using only the same old elements as any other game — – For example, “Odyssey Travel” Zelda Legend: The Wilderness, “The Screech of the Island: The Original Killing,” “The Screech of the Island: New Dawn,” “The Star Rending” and “Biochemical Mutt” are trying to gain an illegal monopoly over type management, as written in a legal document.
It was also noted that the statements made by Van Beek in the behind-the-scenes documentary “directly refuted” Sony’s claim that the Horizon was an original PlayStation concept. It is alleged that Guerrilla had suspended the development of the Horizon because of internal concerns that were too similar to the Odyssey Travel. “The development of the Horizon was publicly acknowledged long before the case was brought to light, and Sony now claims that the unique elements are drawn from earlier games.”
At the same time, the inquiry sought to refute the other allegations of the Sony proceedings, arguing that the development of The Origin of the Desert had nothing to do with Sony ‘ s failed negotiations on the basis of the Horizon. Sony also noted that the Sony indictment misnamed the relevant entity and asserted that the entire proceedings were null and void.
It is worth noting that, in response to the Sony proceedings, the arraignment appears to have adjusted the development of the Desert Origin. The game steam shop page has removed the game cut-off and identification display of redheads and mechanical dinosaurs, implying that Sony would remove elements that Sony considered to be most similar to the Horizon when the telecommunication plan was finally released.
